Countess Eden

Royally entertaining

The Countess can be found entertaining her subjects in all corners of New York City. A former American Swing Dance champion, aerialist, jazz singer, producer and all-around showgirl, she adds jazzy flair to any event. She sings regularly with hot jazz piano master Chris Johnson and currently produces and hosts a fabulous cabaret show called "Dirty Blues" on the first Tuesday of the month at Sid Gold's Request Room.

NYC Illuminati Ball 2017 Review

  • "Of the performances I actually saw, the more memorable among them epitomized sensuality and daring, in a unique way, without trying too hard. My favorite might have been the naked cow goddess, Kamadhenu (Countess Eden), inviting audience members onstage to bathe her in a tub of milk."

  • "Somewhere in Connecticut, about an hour outside of Manhattan, three people perform a ritualistic chant, completely naked aside from animal masks covering their faces. Fire dancers perform behind them while 30 guests in formal attire take in the scene that's happening at a quiet, lakeside estate surrounded by trees on either side. They're awaiting the start of the Illuminati Ball, playwright Cynthia von Buhler's latest immersive theatrical experience that promises a night equal parts Eyes Wide Shut and Burning Man that we were on hand to witness for ourselves."

  • "Some performers, such as the honey-voiced (Countess Eden) as Kamadhenu and von Buhler herself as the heiress of the estate, seem more committed to interacting candidly with audience members."

    Chloe Edmonson, Off Off Online
  • "A large part of what makes this peculiar, immersive experience—which transpires about an hour's drive north of NYC—work is that you have no idea what to expect, and sometimes you may even question where the night's fantasy ends and reality begins."
